Souky.pro is a classifieds platform for Tunisia: publish a listing for free and quickly find offers in your own city.
Marketplaces rarely fail on design — they fail on structure: vague categories, a fragile listing flow and pages that local searches never reach.
The platform was framed around a few clear goals:
Private sellers, small traders and local service providers across Tunisian cities, overwhelmingly on mobile.
Taxonomy came first: cities, categories and subcategories. List, detail and submission pages were derived from it so that URL structure and navigation follow the same logic.
The architecture combines two dimensions: place and category.
Mobile-first interface: compact listing cards, legible filters, easily reachable buttons and a submission form split into understandable steps.
City and category pages are planned with descriptive URLs, unambiguous H1s and introductory copy, so each page covers one recognisable search intent and can be interpreted correctly by AI answer engines.
The relevant events are defined: search, filter usage, listing views, contact actions and completed submissions. The full analytics setup follows as development progresses.
A listing assistant helps write the title and description and suggests a category. It is designed as part of the submission flow and is currently in development.
The interface is planned for French and Arabic, including RTL rendering. City names and categories are maintained per language instead of auto-translated.
Active project in development. Structure, navigation and listing flow are defined conceptually and partly implemented; listing assistant, analytics and further marketplace features follow step by step.
On a marketplace, taxonomy decides visibility. Model cities and categories early and you get navigation, URLs and SEO structure in one move.
This case study describes approach and implementation status. No revenue, traffic or ranking figures are claimed.
